Five new Sonic the Hedgehog Lego sets have been leaked via a reliable source, PromoBlocks, stating that the five new releases are scheduled sometime next year.

According to VGC, the upcoming sets will cost anywhere between $29.99 and $99.99. Though, as of right now, there is no definitive release date for any of the sets, PromoBlocks states they are expected to release during Lego Summer 2023 release, which usually occurs around August 1. One can only assume that these releases are headed our way due to the debut of Sonic Frontiers, but that has not been confirmed as of yet either.

There have been several amazing releases of Lego sets inspired by video games over the last few years. Of course, the iconic sets such as the Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block features the block in all of its glory and includes four different Super Mario 64 scenes hidden inside the block. There was also the addition of the Nintendo Entertainment System, which literally lets you build a console, controller and cartridge. More so, the set comes with the blocks to build a retro television set, and allows you to build a Mario scene that moves with you crank it! That is easily one of the coolest Lego sets to hit the market.

This seems to be a trend as of late, where we see more and more sets of Lego's inspired by video games, which I won't complain about. The latest one being the Horizon Forbidden West set that features a 13-inch tallneck to create. Though the Lego sets themselves are a lot of fun, think about the AAA titles releasing being turned into Lego video games -- we sure wouldn't mind a Horizon Forbidden West crossover. With that said, there are plenty of interesting games that we could see come in Lego form over the next few years, and Sonic could be the beginning of that for 2023.
