Scott Cawthon has announced that Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach has been delayed even further, with its Early 2021 release date being pushed back into far later in the year.
What is the Five Nights at Freddy's Security: Breach Release Date?
Here's the Reddit announcement from Scott Cawthon revealing the new release date for Security Breach:
Hey everyone, so here is your big Security Breach news for the week.
As you all know, Security Breach was originally planned to come out at the end of 2020, but as we kept working on it and kept adding to it, it just kept getting bigger and bigger and needed more time to finish. And now, again, I've made the decision to put more time and money into it to make sure it's finished properly, and that means a late 2021 release instead of an early 2021 release like I had originally wanted. It will be worth it!
Cawthon goes on to say in the announcement that he knows people are disappointed by this news, so he has a consolation prize of sorts to those who were hoping for better news. He's posted a free game: Security Breach: Fury's Rage on Game Jolt, which allows players to pick from four fighters: Freddy, Monty, Roxanne, and Chica. It looks like a beat-em-up where you go through levels and, well, beat up people that are in your way. It's free to download, and looks fairly polished and well put together, so there's that, at least.
Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach will be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC later this year. If you'd like to check out the original announcement of its PS5 release, be sure to go here.
