Pathea Games has just announced that its first major My Time at Sandrock update will be releasing on August 30, 2022, and will include more stories for the townsfolk, new dungeons to traverse and conquer, and optimizations for all manner of systems. Let's take a look at it all, shall we?
What's been added with the Logan Strikes Back update?
The My Time at Sandrock major update Logan Strikes Back has been talked about for a while, with the single-player roadmap detailing what fans can expect for this month and in the future as well. Perhaps the most interesting part of the update has players able to experience more stories for the townsfolk, which should help make the game world more involving. New dungeons are also being added to the game, with new creatures coming as well.
Farming commissions, new main stories and characters, a party system, and framerate improvements are also on the way, which nicely leads into the second portion of the update: optimization. Basically, the framerate has been increased by around 20% for people with 16 GB of memory or higher, which is very good news. The update should make the game both load faster and play smoother, which is ideal. The workshop has also expanded to be wider as well.
While this is great news for Sandrock fans, it's going to be over three weeks until the update launches. To help alleviate the wait in the meantime, be sure to check out the game's Discord server, where you might be able to pick up a spare multiplayer closed alpha playtest key to try out the game's new multiplayer functionality (which was originally announced back in May as part of the multiplayer roadmap). The first wave of keys has been given out already, but Pathea says you might happen upon community members with spare keys. If you don't, hey, at least you've met a group of fellow Sandrock players!
