Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak updates are soon drawing to a close, and Capcom has revealed the date and time for the game's final digital showcase. The event is set for next Wednesday, June 7th, at 10am Eastern, and will feature not only details about the upcoming final update but some extra goodies as well.
The last Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak update landed in April, and we got a sneak peek at the final update during that month's showcase as well. Now, Capcom has released a teaser trailer revealing some details of the final update (which it's calling the Bonus Update). You can see the teaser, which feels somewhat bittersweet, right here.
The aptly-named Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Final Digital Event will contain information on Rise and Sunbreak's finale, and Capcom says it's planning to "[go] out with a bang", so there should be some incendiary stuff in the showcase to look forward to. Expect new creatures to contend with, as well as the already-teased extra Qurious armor upgrade option and more.
This time around, the update showcase will be a little different, too. Capcom says the event will contain interviews with Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak's developers, and after the show, a developer roundtable discussion will air, during which you'll hear development stories about how Capcom brought the world of Monster Hunter Rise and its expansion to life. This one won't be presented by a Rise VA in character, either; it's being hosted by producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, alongside Rise and Sunbreak directors Yasunori Ichinose and Yoshitake Suzuki.
Although this is the end of the Rise and Sunbreak era, it's far from the end for Monster Hunter itself. In April, a Monster Hunter augmented reality game was announced in conjunction with Pokemon Go developer Niantic, and the franchise is still going strong in the world of tabletop, too, with the recently-announced Iceborne tabletop game reaching its full Kickstarter goal in under 30 minutes. Stay tuned for more news on all things Monster Hunter.
