Today Square Enix released a new outfit in the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store, allowing fans to dress up like popular character Alisaie.
The package, titled Brand-new Alisaie's Attire, is priced at $15 and also includes Alisaie's hairstyle "Modern Aesthetics - Sharlayan Rebellion." Both work on both male and female characters.
Do keep in mind that, like most of these outfits from NPCs, it comes in a single piece, so you can't use it to mix and match.
Here's what they look like.
"This new costume and hairstyle set allows you to dress up as Alisaie, the spirited female heir to the Leveilleur line. The unique asymmetric curves of the jacket, paired with pure white longboots and sleek silver accessories, are tied together (figuratively and literally) with an impressively fashionable sash—the perfect combination of form and function for any foray into battle."
If you're unfamiliar with the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store, it does what it says on the tin, offering additional services, outfits, mounts, minions, and accessories that can be purchased on top of the game's monthly subscriptions for some healthy nickel-and-dime. At least, healthy for Square Enix's coffers, considering how wildly profitable Final Fantasy XIV is.
Incidentally, the developer recently ran afoul of a Sámi Organization for releasing an outfit inspired by their people's cultural attire, albeit we haven't heard any news about that dispute after it happened.
Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PS5, PS4, and PC both on Steam and via stand-alone client. The game is one of the most popular MMORPGs on the planet, having pulled a basically miraculous recovery with its relaunch as "A Realm Reborn" in 2013 after its original release in 2010.
After its fourth expansion "Endwalker," it currently counts 27 million registered accounts worldwide. Just today, the new edition of the annual Little Ladies' Day seasonal event has been launched.
