Final Fantasy XIV fans have a lot to look forward to, as Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.15 will be launching on June 7, 2022, just over a week from now. The patch will include more goofy adventures with Hildibrand, Arkasodara Tribal Quests, and Custom Deliveries from Ameliance. There's also news of Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi rejoining Square... in spirit, at least. Let's take it a look at it all, shall we?

What's added in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.15?

The latest update to Square Enix's popular MMORPG includes the return of Hildibrand, a wacky, silly character who gets some of the funnier side stories in FFXIV. For instance, he's how his archrival Gilgamesh was introduced to the game. Sadly, there wasn't any Hildibrand content in Shadowbringers, so this'll be the first Hildibrand content that players have received in several years. This time around, Hildibrand-who was last seen vanishing alongside his archival Gilgamesh-has resurfaced in "a rather concerning state." Players will have to reunite with his assistant Nashu in order to help the inspector, which will apparently be quite the adventure.

Speaking of adventure, players will be able to complete the Arkasodara Tribal Quests. The Arkasodara are known for both the alchemy prowess and hippo carts, so players will of course go for a ride and blaze a trail of their own across Thavnair's history.

Last but not least in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.15 are Custom Deliveries for Ameliance Leveilleur. With a long-prophesied history in the Final Days being averted, change has come, and Ameliance has a new venture in mind for players.

Oh, and as for Hironobu Sakaguchi rejoining Square... he's joined a free company (guild) in Final Fantasy XIV called Square. He's apparently been very active in the game since late last year, so it must be a weird sort of homecoming for the father of Final Fantasy.
