Final Fantasy XIV Online's latest patch 5.4 - Futures Rewritten has been announced, and the next expansion for the MMORPG has been teased on Twitter. The latest patch will include things such as new Main Scenario Quests, a new Raid Dungeon, Dungeon, Trials, Resistance Weapons Quests, and a new Large Scale Battle.

The Main Scenario Quests moves on from Elidibus since he has been defeated, and now with the First secured the Scions are making their "long-awaited return to the Source." The Raid Dungeon will have Ryne and Gaia succeeding in restoring balance to the elements of the Empty, and while the "flame of hope burns brighter than ever, this tale is far from over..." The New Dungeon will take place in the Makers' Quarter, which was once home to some of Eorzea's finest crafters. In there, the entrance to a former workshop of the Archon Matoya can be found.
