Today Kotobukiya opened its Kotobukiya Collection 2023 event in Akihabara, Tokyo, and it had a few interesting video game figures and model kits to reveal.
We start with a new figure portraying Dohalim from Tales of Arise. It's in 1/8 scale and we already get to see the prototype in a fetching dynamic pose.
Next, we get the first look at the prototype of the brand-new Type-77 Gekishin plastic model kits from the popular Muv-Luv Alternative visual novel. This one doesn't have a specified scale and it's the second created to celebrate the recent anime series. Kotobukiya has released a metric ton of reprints of TSF mecha from the franchise, but most of them (besides the Gekishin and the Fubiki) are reprints of decade-old models that had been out of stock for a long time. This model, like the Fubuki, is fully new.
We then move to the Ace Combat series, with the prototype of the 1/144-scale model kit of the ADF-01 Falken that appeared in many games of the series including the latest Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
Moving on to two figures that don't have a prototype just yet, we get the announcement of a 1/7-scale portrayal of Bridget from Guilty Gear -Strive-. The Killmachine bike is also included.
Last, but not least, Kotobukiya announced Fie Claussell from the Trails series, who will be portrayed in 1/8 scale as she appears in The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie.
Below you can check out a gallery with pictures of all the prototypes and illustrations provided by the manufacturer.
