The Culling II will be releasing tomorrow on July 10, 2018, according to a trailer released earlier today on the developer's YouTube channel.

If you haven't played The Culling, it was one of many Battle Royale style games. It had the distinction of being one of the first titles to enter the scene. It had its own unique charms, although it had a troubled period in Early Access. The game's development was wrapped up at the end of last year following a long period of minor tweaks and adjustments. Many of the game's changes throughout its time in Early Access upset a portion of the fanbase, something that likely contributed to the game's review score currently sitting at Mostly Negative.

The first game focused on small battles featuring 16 players; The Culling II is scaling things up to a size more familiar to players of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS and the like. The sequel will feature a 20km square area with up to 50 players in a single match. The same bombastic game show style will return as we saw in the first game. Of course, it'll just be on a much bigger scale.

If you're a Battle Royale fanatic and you're looking for something new to play, The Culling II just might be the kind of thing you're looking for. For the moment, you can head on over to the game's Steam Store page and add it to your wishlist. The Culling II will be available for purchase on Steam around 10:00 AM Eastern tomorrow.

What do you think of The Culling II? Do you think expanding the original game to a larger scale is a good idea? Would you prefer the smaller, more intimate battles of the original? Do you think the developers will do a good job of balancing the game? Let us know in the comments below!
