Update (02/25/21, 11:15 PM) – EA has restored the ability to join and create FIFA 21 FUT matches following an hours-long service outage earlier in the day.
"FIFA 21 maintenance has been completed and match creation in FUT has been re-enabled, thanks everyone for your patience," read an update from the FIFA 21 team. An explanation for the service outage has not been provided at the time of this update.

The ability to create and join FIFA 21 FUT matches has been temporarily disabled by Electronic Arts after several players reported problems with connecting to the game.
FIFA 21 is the latest game in EA's long-running FIFA franchise. It has pretty much everything soccer fans could want: intense gameplay, up-to-date rosters, and the latest graphics. Unfortunately, it looks like things haven't been going so well for the game — a fair few players have had trouble actually getting into the game.
"We are investigating reports of players experiencing issues connecting to FIFA at this time," read a tweet from FIFA's game updates account.
The inability to join a game can be caused by issues with network infrastructure or a recent change that's been made to the game. Either way, it looks like this particular issue is severe enough that EA has disabled the ability to create FUT matches entirely.
"FUT match creation in FIFA 21 has been temporarily disabled while we investigate a connectivity issue," read a follow-up tweet from the FIFA 21 team. "We'll provide updates in this thread as they become available."
When Will FIFA 21 FUT Matches Come Back?
EA announced the issues with FIFA 21 FUT matches at 8:10 AM EST today; the ability to create FUT matches was subsequently disabled at 12:50 PM on the same day. Considering the length of time between the announcement of the investigation and the follow-up action of disabling FUT matches, this may prove to be a more severe problem than EA had hoped for.
We can't say for sure when they'll actually bring FUT matches back online; hopefully, FIFA 21 players won't have to wait too long to get back into the game. For now, you can buy FIFA 21 for PC and consoles starting at $59.99 or your regional equivalent.
