Festival Tycoon

Have you ever wanted to run a festival? Well, with Festival Tycoon announced now you can. Developed by one-man indie studio Driehaus (Johannes Gäbler), the festival builder simulation will be available on Steam's Early Access in Q3 2021. Interestingly, the game is made with voxels, so if you squint you can pretend that this is just an expansion pack for Minecraft or cool like that.

What do you do in Festival Tycoon?

As a festival tycooner, you'll be able to book bands, sign deals, fix the toilets (else you'll be in deep shit) and design a venue that will ensure that the parties won't stop and the checks keep rolling in. For someone such as yourself, no job is too small and no job is too big, so be ready to host all manner of events that range from a backyard party to a "Coachella-level event."

Players can place tents, VIP bungalows, festival decorations, portaloos, stages, and more as they try to build the most lit venue, yo. Your venue will also need talent, so you'll have to bargain with rock bands that range from folk, rock, and techno. This goes even further with sponsors such as banks, record labels, and drink companies that you'll also negotiate with to get more bling to cash in.

Of course, this doesn't matter if the crowds you attract don't like the show you put on. If you don't keep them happy, you'll have audience members going onto social media in an effort to ruin you and your venue's reputation.

If all this sounds like something you're interested in, be sure to check it out on Steam.
