The Xbox Game Pass February 2021 lineup

Seven new games are on their way to Xbox Game Pass this month. As ever, the games will be playable on a mixture of Android cloud streaming, Xbox consoles, and PC, with a couple available on all three.

What games are coming to Xbox Game Pass in February?

No matter what sort of games you're into, you're likely to find something to whet your appetite on Xbox Game Pass this month. The theme this month seems to be friendship, as Xbox Game Pass community lead Megan Spurr describes the lineup as "games about friends, games you can play with your friends, games about deceiving your friends, and more". Let's take a look.

Ghost of a Tale - February 4th (PC)

Ghost of a Tale, one of the Xbox Game Pass February games

In this stealthy action-adventure, you play as Tilo, a mouse minstrel who must evade the nefarious Rats in order to find his true love. Unlike many stealth games, this one places an active emphasis on sneaking; there isn't much combat to speak of, so you'd better make sure you're not caught.

Project Winter - February 4th (PC, console, cloud)

Looking for a reason to hate your friends and family this Valentine's Day? Why not try the social deception game Project Winter? It's a game for up to 8 players that revolves around communication, teamwork, and, of course, plenty of filthy backstabbing.

The Falconeer - February 4th (PC, console, cloud)

Combining open-world exploration and aerial dogfighting, The Falconeer is sure to appeal to fans of Panzer Dragoon. You can choose from a number of different origin stories and play through multiple campaigns, so if you like this one, there's plenty of flightin' fightin' fun to be had.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age - February 11th (PC, console)

Final Fantasy XII was first announced to be coming to Xbox Game Pass well over a year ago, and it's finally making its debut on the service this year. The Zodiac Age adds widescreen support, a Job System, and more to the 2006 JRPG. This is part of Square Enix's ongoing commitment to bring Final Fantasy titles to Xbox Game Pass. We're still waiting on several including Final Fantasy X and the Final Fantasy XIII sub-series.

Jurassic World Evolution - February 11th (Console, cloud)

Ever wanted to build your very own Jurassic Park? Well, now you can in Jurassic Park Evolution. Create and tend to your park, fill it with dinosaurs, and make sure that you don't have to go through an incident like the ones in the movies (although it's pretty much inevitable, as Jeff Goldblum can attest).

Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones - February 11th (Console, cloud)

Stealth Inc 2 is a sneaky puzzle-platformer in which you must guide a clone through a high-tech facility. At every turn, you'll be taunted by an omniscient and sinister voice that seems to want you to fail. The game boasts sneaky platforming action combined with head-scratching puzzle-solving.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood - February 11th (Cloud)

Take up the mantle of BJ Blazkowicz's twin daughters Jess and Soph as they attempt to meet up with and aid the French resistance against the Nazis. Youngblood deviates from the Wolfenstein reboot formula and places an emphasis on co-op action.

More Xbox Game Pass games are getting touch controls on mobile

Most Xbox Game Pass titles can only be played with an Xbox controller if you're playing them via cloud streaming on an Android device. However, this month, Microsoft added touch controls to several Xbox Game Pass games on Android, meaning you won't need a controller to play them. Here's the full lineup of games getting touch controls:

  • Donut County
  • Enter The Gungeon
  • Fractured Minds
  • Monster Sanctuary
  • River City Girls
  • The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics
  • The Walking Dead: A New Frontier – Episode 1
  • The Walking Dead: Michonne – A Telltale Miniseries
  • The Walking Dead: Season Two
  • The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season
  • Touhou Luna Nights
  • What Remains of Edith Finch
  • Yes, Your Grace

Games leaving Xbox Game Pass this February

There are also four games leaving the service this month, so make sure to get your mileage in on these games before they're gone. Remember that when games leave Xbox Game Pass, you won't be able to play them unless you own them outside of the subscription service. Here they are:

  • De Blob (console) - leaving February 15th
  • Ninja Gaiden II (console) - leaving February 15th
  • World of Horror (PC) - leaving February 15th
  • Shadows of the Damned (EA Play/console) - leaving February 16th
