Today indie developer Igloosoft shared with TechRaptor the pricing of the upcoming open-world sci-fi sandbox game Farworld Pioneers.
The game will be priced at $15 when it releases simultaneously on PC via Steam, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on May 30. If you're wondering about the possibility of a Nintendo Switch version, the developer mentioned to TechRaptor that it's planned for the future but for now, the immediate focus is on the other platforms.
We also learn Farworld Pioneers will include the following languages: English, French, German, Portuguese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Russian.
If you're unfamiliar with Farworld Pioneers, its previous title Outworlder may ring a bell.
This charming pixel-art game features an open-world galactic sandbox where you can play with friends on private servers or join on larger public ones. You can either approach encounters peacefully or take advantage of the "dynamic multiplayer faction system to band together and split apart dynamically as allegiances change."
You can build your own starship and use it to explore and customize new planets which will feature new biomes and new challenges. You can also enjoy extensive crafting, physics-based combat, and advanced base-building, which you can populate with AI survivors that will perform a variety of tasks for you.
If you'd like to hear more about the game, you can check out an interview with Igloosoft founder Rho "Rhopunzel" Watson including plenty of interesting details from when the game was much earlier in development.
