Sad news was revealed last week over at Activision. The studio responsible for the insanely popular Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series, Neversoft, is officially no more.
While also known widely for their work on the Guitar Hero series, which gave them their highest recorded sales, the legacy of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater will live on for ages to come. Undeniably one of the most popular video game series, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater was one of the coolest games to play. I don't think anyone can deny the joy of landing a sick flip while jamming out to one of the realest video game soundtracks to date.
With the remaining staff of Neversoft being merged with Infinity Ward, so marks the end of an almost twenty era of Neversoft. But with the staff merging with Infinity Ward, at least these well deserving developers are not out of a job. On their final day, the remaining Neversoft staff built a replica of the company's signature eyeball logo and set it on fire, which you can check out in the link below. Although Neversoft is gone, they will surely be remembered fondly for their many works, most of all, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
