Fan's of video games, or any form of media for that matter, are a creative bunch. Many of them often share those creations with the world, showing their passion and dedication to their craft for other fans to appreciate.

It's why the hard work of animators, illustrators, musicians, and other content creators should be recognized from time to time. Like animator Darn, who a few days ago showed off this excellent, shot for shot animated sequence of the introduction to Pokemon Silver.

As you can see, the animation is crisp and cool, giving off an anime vibe to the drawings.

Darn himself, (going by illbedarnd) is a big fan of anime, comics, and motion design. According to his professional website, he is an Irish-born student of Animation at the University of Ulster. He has also set up a solid portfolio that showcases some of his animation, but other techniques including comic book coloration and motion design.

"My passion is bringing worlds to life, and creating immersive narratives that encapsulate the audience, regardless of the platform. And I bring this passion into every project I work on to deliver the best final product." said Darn on his bio page.

The quality of his work in the Pokemon Silver video is solid enough, but his whole portfolio contains pieces of art based on numerous pop culture franchises, from Marvel to Star Wars. Pokemon is featured prominently in his video portfolio, from the Silver intro to a 2-D VFX test with the Pokemon Hypno that is a bit creepy. He also has several short, live action films available to watch on his website.

Darn also has a patreon page, so those looking to support Darn for his work, can check that out as well.
