Fallout 4 System Requirements and Other Details Released

Bethesda Softworks has released the details of the system requirements for the upcoming Fallout 4 release. The post on the Bethesda website reads as follows:

Fallout 4 Minimum Requirements:

In order to run the Fallout 4, you must have at least Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.80 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 945 @ 3.00 GHz processor accompanied by 8 GB of RAM one GeForce GTX 550 Tiwith 2 GB of VRAM or Radeon HD 7870with 30 GB of free space and use of the Windows operating system 7/8/10 variant of 64 bits.

Minimum:

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 30 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent

Fallout 4 Recommended Requirements:

To make the most of the experience of Fallout 4, we must have a very high performance CPU such as Core i7-4790 @ 3.60 GHz or an AMD FX-9590 @ 4.70 GHz paired to a GeForce GTX 780 with 3 GB of VRAM or Radeon R9 290x.

Recommended:

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required
  • Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 30 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent

 

Bethesda also detailed how big the install will be. The game will take up between 28 and 35 GB, so make sure you've got enough space on your system (time to delete those PS+ and Live Gold games you never play!). Bethesda further confirmed gamepad compatibility for PC and Steam Achievements, and a recent blog post states that they are planning to support the game with free DLC post-release, in addition to a $30 season pass that will get you all the planned paid DLC for slightly cheaper than the individual cost.

Finally, the developer announced the exact times for when the game becomes playable. The game will be available to play on all platforms and in all territories on November 10, at 12:01 am local time.
