Fable Fortune has run out of luck — it's shutting down in March 2020.

If you've never heard of this game, Fable Fortune is a hybrid card and strategy game. Players pick a quest at the beginning of the match, the completion of which will earn them unique rewards.

Once the quest is complete, players can choose either Good or Evil. This choice will affect their abilities and their cards going forward. This ability to change things up allows you to react to your opponent's strategy by essentially having two different ways to play in every deck.

It seems like a pretty cool game, but it just wasn't able to reach a level of stability that the publisher was happy with. As a consequence, Fable Fortune is shutting down in a little over a month.

How Much Longer Can You Play Fable Fortune?

The closure of the game's servers was revealed in an announcement on the game's Steam Community page.

Hello Heroes!

After over two years, spanning 30 seasons with 6 Heroes, we sadly announce that our adventures are coming to an end.

Fable Fortune will be shutting down servers on March 4th 2020.

The in game store is now disabled which means you will no longer be able to purchase card packs. If you have any outstanding card packs in your inventory, you will still be able to open them throughout the remainder of January, February and March until the game closes down.

We’d like to thank everyone who has joined us for the journey and extend our gratitude to the entire Fable Fortune community.

It seems like pretty sad news for the fans of this game, but it's not all bad. There's still a little over a month to play it if you haven't had the chance to do so already. Go ahead and play Fable Forge for free on Steam before it goes away for good on March 4, 2020.

What do you think of Fable Forge shutting down? Do you think the game had more longevity than the two years it was on the market? Let us know in the comments below!
