Killer Instinct Eyedol Joins Roster

During the 2016 iteration of the Evolution Championship Series, the official Killer Instinct Twitter account released a trailer for the final Season Three fighter. Eyedol, the fearsome twin-headed demon from the original Killer Instinct (1994) will be making a triumphant return to the fighting games roster this month. The trailer for Eyedol can be viewed below.

Eyedol has undergone some changes since his last appearance in the classic Killer Instinct (1994) game. No longer does he have two distinct heads, but what appears to be one head split down the middle and joined by electricity and gore. While still tall like his original appearance, in Season Three he's much portlier and very much resembles a classic ogre (although his retro skin resembles his original Killer Instinct (1994) appearance).

In Season Three, Eyedol is a "double-stance" character, with two completely different fighting styles; Eyedol will randomly switch between the two styles, although using a certain command will increase the odds of Eyedol switching faster. The head portion with the red eye and the broken horn is the "Warrior Head", which utilizes a beatdown/berserker style; the head portion with the purple eye and the unbroken eye is the "Mage Head" and makes use of zoning and caster tactics.

Eyedol will be available to play on July 22, 2016, for owners of Killer Instinct: Season Three Ultra Edition, and July 29, 2016, for owners of Killer Instinct: Season Three Combo Breaker Edition owners. Additionally, Eyedol will be included in the Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition which will be released later this year in September.
