Mass Effect Art Book The Art of the Mass Effect Trilogy expanded cover

A new Mass Effect art book has popped up on Amazon, promising to deliver "hundreds of never before seen works of art" from the sci-fi RPG franchise.

The Art of the Mass Effect Trilogy: Expanded Edition will be a 272-page art book published by Dark Horse Books measuring 9" x 12". Mass Effect has already had an art book released in the past, but this is stepping things up with a lot of new content to better flesh things out.

Unfortunately, all we have to go on for the moment is the cover — there aren't yet any images of the artwork we'll get to see in this upcoming book. While a new artbook is certainly nice, that might not be the most interesting thing about this reveal.

Does the Mass Effect Art Book Herald a New Game?

As Eurogamer notes, an expanded art book with hundreds of new images isn't super interesting until you consider one thing: the possibility of a Mass Effect remaster.

Late last year, reporting indicated that a new Mass Effect game was in the early stages of its development. A new game can take years to produce, but a remaster might only take a year or two. Considering the upcoming launches of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X later this year, we may well kick off 2021 with a remastered Mass Effect trilogy.

For now, the only clues we have is some limited reporting and the revelation of this new art book. You can pre-order the new Mass Effect art book on Amazon starting at $23.99 or your regional equivalent.
