The developers at Flying Wild Hog and publishers at Focus Entertainment have just announced that Evil West will not be released in September of 2022 as originally planned. The release date has now been pushed back to November 22, 2022, to further polish the game prior to launch.
Evil West Delayed
The amount of games that have been delayed this past year is astounding, especially given the fact that most of them are highly anticipated by fans and gamers alike, such as Lord of the Rings: Gollum. Evil West has now been added to the list of delayed games, and though it isn't a severe push back on the release date, it will no longer launch as we initially thought.
The developers took to Twitter to announce this delay, where they state,
"To ensure that the game reaches its full potential, we have made the decision to delay the worldwide launch of Evil West to November 22, 2022. We understand that game delays may be frustrating, but it’s a necessary step to deliver the best experience to everyone. Thank you again for your awesome support and dedication. It drives us forward and pushes us to create the weirdest, wildest western ride for all of you."
The developers also mention that they are more than appreciative of the reception the game has gotten since it was announced, as well as from those who were able to try the demo out at PAX EAST. They also state that polishing the game to the best of their ability is what they believe must be done in order to ensure players not only make good memories during their playthroughs but long-lasting ones.
