As of now, there is no confirmed release date but as said above "the worst-kept secret" is now official. The PC release was already leaked by AMD in a now corrected patch notes for an AMD graphics driver update and it also appeared in Steam's database, where as of now it's still listed as an "Unknown App".

As the game is coming to PC, player's will be able to utilize a slew of increased performance (60 frames per second, higher resolutions, etc) and accessibility functions such as the inclusion of a crosshair to aid those who are prone to motion sickness. In addition to this, the game will also make use of  visual assists for players who have impaired hearing and a simplified event-triggering system for people who have mobility issues.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture was nominated for numerous BAFTA Game Awards with these including Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Best Game, British Game, Game Innovation, Music, Original Property, Performer (Merle Dandridge and Oliver Dimsdale) and story.

Quick Take

I wasn't the biggest fan of this game and I say this as someone who kind of enjoyed Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Dear Esther. I found the game to be too mundane but I do agree that Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is somewhat of a unique game as it offers a very atmospheric and beautiful looking experience in a location that is quite close to my heart but the fact that there is little to no gameplay and what you do experience is so repetitive with no variation...Well, you get the gist of it. At least, I will always have The Stanley Parable.
