The second episode of the Metro Exodus documentary has been released. In addition to this, a video highlighting the game's rifle weapons has also popped up online.
Metro Exodus is the third upcoming game in the franchise based on Dmitry Glukhovsky's Metro 2033 books. It's set to launch in less than a month and the team behind the game has been cranking out a lot of content lately to get people all kinds of hyped up. Most recently, we have the addition of Episode 2 of the Metro Exodus documentary and a video exploring the game's rifle weapons.

The Making of Metro Exodus - Episode 2 builds on what we've seen in the first episode. This particular segment of the Metro Exodus documentary focuses on the game engine and the care they put into the details of the world. For example, one of the developers makes a point of highlighting that they had specific rules for how each weapon was designed and how it would look. The idea was for it to make sense that this particular weapon came from the part of the world that you're in at the moment.
Aside from the way weapons look, we also get to hear the fine folks at 4A games talk about how the customization and crafting systems will affect the game. In particular, they spoke about the challenges of making sure that players have the right resources available in order to survive. They're certainly departing from the first two games in a lot of interesting ways!

The Metro Exodus - Rifle Class video specifically focuses on three weapons: the Kalash, the Bulldog, and the Valve. Each of these three guns will provide players with a lot of interesting opportunities for adapting their guns to their gameplay style.
As an example, the Kalash is particularly well-suited for close-to-medium range combat. However, you can add on a longer barrel, a more powerful scope, and a sturdier stock to essentially turn it into a designated marksman rifle. If you instead switch up the scope to a reflex site and swap in a box magazine, you'll have yourself a pretty solid man-portable machine gun.
Metro Exodus is certainly shaping up nicely! I'm certainly looking forward to getting my hands on this one. You might want to check out our hands-on preview of the game! We've learned a lot about the world so far and the broader open world flavor is sure to change things up!
