The PC Gaming Show at E3 2019 was a big event for Epic Games Store, who sponsored the show and took the opportunity to announce quite a few new games coming to the store in the next few months. More to the purpose, the store has also announced its intention to extend the weekly giveaways program that started with the first Epic Games Store sale. Before the sale, the Epic Games Store had been giving away a game every two weeks. Now, for the remainder of 2019, you will be able to redeem a free copy of a new game on the Epic Games Store every week, even after the sale is over. Considering that there are over 25 weeks until the end of the year, that is a lot of free games.
Right now you can still get your free copy of Raw Fury's 2D survival strategy Kingdom: New Lands, but tomorrow you will be able to redeem a copy of Dodge Roll's Enter the Gungeon, a frantic roguelike bullet hell action game. And if you're curious about a list of recently announced upcoming games making their way to the Epic Games Store, here it is. Not all of these titles are Epic Games Store exclusives, though some of them will be. It is worth remembering as well that most Epic exclusives on PC are timed exclusives.
Atomicrops: This is a farming simulation game set in a post-apocalyptic world with a quirky cartoon style. Imagine Stardew Valley meets Fallout. This is an Epic Games Store exclusive title, developed by Bird Bath Games.
Auto Chess: Last month we reported that the Dota Auto Chess mod would morph into two standalone titles, one developed by Valve, and the other developed by the modders themselves, Drodo Studio. So it looks like Drodo turned down Valve's offer and went with Epic Games instead, as they announced on Monday that their new Auto Chess will be an Epic Games Store exclusive title.
Chivalry 2: The sequel to the highly popular first-person slasher inspired by epic medieval battles. One more Epic Games Store exclusive, developed by Torn Banner Studios and published by Tripwire Interactive.
Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt RED's highly anticipated and ambitious first-person RPG finally has a release date set for April 16, 2020, and it will be available on GOG, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
Griftlands: This is a deckbuilding roguelite RPG where everything is negotiable, money, loyalty, and even morality. Hopefully, it sets itself apart from the emerging subgenre of Slay the Spire-likes. Epic Games Store exclusive.
The Pathless: A new atmospheric adventure from the creators of ABZÛ. You will become the Hunter, a mastery of archery who travels to a mystical island to dispel a curse of darkness that grips the world. Epic Games Store exclusive.
Phantom Brigade: A turn-based tactical RPG focusing on in-depth customization and player-driven stories. You will lead The Brigade of mech pilots through a desperate campaign to retake their war-torn homeland. This will only be an Epic Games Store exclusive during its Early Access period, strangely enough.
Rune II: The long-overdue sequel to Human Head Studios' classic hack-and-slash from 2000. You are chosen as Midgard’s savior, and you will kneel atop the Divine Summit to receive a blessing and powerful abilities from your chosen god in the endeavor to end Ragnarok. Epic Games Store exclusive.
Shenmue 3: The latest controversy in the Epic-Steam wars, the crowdfunded action-adventure and the conclusion of the Shenmue saga is coming to the Epic Games Store as a timed exclusive. Assume the role of Ryo Hazuki, a martial artist, determined to unravel the mystery behind his father's murder and to exact revenge on the killer. Epic Games Store exclusive.
The Sojourn: A thought-provoking puzzle game with an immersive color-drenched world of light and shadows. Developed by Shifting Tides and published by Iceberg Interactive. Epic Games Store exclusive.
Solar Ash Kingdom: The next game by Heart Machine, the creators of the award-winning Hyper Light Drifter. You will journey through a surreal, vivid and highly stylized world filled with mystery, wild high-speed traversal, endearing characters, and massive enemy encounters. Epic Games Store exclusive.
Twin Mirror: Embark on a compelling emotional journey and direct the fate of Sam, a 33-year old man who returns to his hometown for the funeral of his best friend… and wakes up in a hotel room with a bloody shirt and no memory of the night before. Epic Games Store exclusive.
Untitled Goose Game: "It’s a lovely morning in the village, and you are a horrible goose." No further comment necessary. Epic Games Store exclusive.
What the Golf?: This is the anti-golf game for people who hate golf. Golf a ragdoll, house, a car and plenty of other things in completely ridiculous ways. Epic Games Store exclusive.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War: The latest installment of Rebellion's co-op zombie shooter set in 1940s Europe as the Nazis unleash their ultimate weapon. Epic Games Store exclusive.
