Michael House, the Community Coordinator at Epic Games, announced that Fortnite will receive a Fortnite Crew monthly subscription option. It's targeted toward players who already have been buying the Battle Pass each season and adding new items to their Locker, with House calling it a "particularly practical" option for those players.

The Fortnite Crew subscription will launch on December 2 and arrives with Chapter 2 - Season 5, as was announced on the PlayStation Blog. The subscription will cost $11.99 a month, which doesn't seem too outlandish. Here's the trailer:

If you already own the current Season's Battle Pass it's no problem, because if you do, 950 V-Bucks will be returned to the account. You'll also be keeping their Battle Pass if the subscription ends, so if your subscription ends during a Season, the Season's Battle Pass will stay on your account for that Season.

Players will also receive 1,000 V-Bucks as part of their Fortnite Crew subscription, and this is in addition to the V-Bucks you unlock with your included Battle Pass access. Also include is a monthly outfit bundle, which means that you'll receive a new Outfit plus at least one new matching accessory such as a Glider, Pickaxe, and Emote. Even if the subscription ends, all the Pack items are yours once you receive them.

The first star of the first Crew Pack is Galaxia (with an additional Outfit style) and will be accompanied by a Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe and a Fracture World Back Bling. She'll have her steed as her Pickaxe, which is an interesting concept.

In the future, Epic Games will reveal more about next month's Pack before the even of this month, and if you would like to subscribe you can go to the in-game Shop or Battle Pass purchase screen starting on December 2. You'll also be able to cancel anytime if you find that this subscription is not for you, which while expected is also a good thing.

The Fortnite Crew monthly subscription will launch on December 2 along with Chapter 2 - Season 5 of Fortnite.
