The Epic Games Store seems to be supporting cloud saves on some of its new releases according to a tweet from Jim Sweeney, co-founder of Epic Games. The feature seems to be a new inclusion on a number of Epic Store titles, including one of this month's free games Moonlighter, although more and more games are expected to be supported soon enough according to Sweeney himself. Clarification was first asked for by a twitter used known as Shy, who asked about the feature suddenly cropping up in the settings window for the game in the Epic Games Launcher. Sweeney responded with a tweet saying that "a couple of new games" have cloud saves enabled, and that with some more work the feature should be supported more widely in the near future.

The quiet reveal of this new feature will probably stir up much debate amongst fans and critics of Epic's game store, which has been accused of missing a lot of basic features over the past few months. Many complaints have been made about the lack of a shopping cart when buying games from the storefront, as well as the lack of cloud saving which would enable gamers to keep their data consistent across any system they log onto. While cloud saving is a great step in the right direction, many people on Twitter made jokes about the perceived slow response to critics of the software's basic nature.

One user said: "Welcome to 2008 Tim, maybe by 2030 the Epic Store will finally have a shopping cart :)" while another said: "Better a year late than never I suppose.". While the initial fan reaction hasn't been exclusively positive there were several tweets in support of the move, as well as those making requests for features they'd like to see in the near future.
