Paradox Interactive and Romero Games have announced that they're pushing back the Empire of Sin release date.
If you happen to be unfamiliar with this upcoming game, check out the Gameplay Trailer below to get a feel for its vibe:
In short, this is a tactical game with a mobster theme similar to Mobsters or Omerta: City of Gangsters set in the heyday of Prohibition. It looks like a pretty neat game, but it seems that Romero Games needs a bit more time to work with it.
"We at Paradox Interactive, along with our partners at Romero Games, have an ambitious vision for Empire of Sin, and decided together that more development time is needed," said Paradox Interactive CEO Ebba Ljungerud in a press release. "This will allow us to deliver the game that our community deserves and meets our standards."
When is the New Empire of Sin Release Date?
Empire of Sin originally intended to come out in Spring 2020, but the dev's announcement means that that is no longer happening. The announcement was echoed on the game's official Twitter account which also revealed when we can expect the new release date.
"As any good bootlegger knows, good liquor can't be rushed and the same goes for game development," the announcement stated. "This is why we have decided to move the release of Empire of Sin to Fall 2020."
"We appreciate all your support so far, and trust that you understand why choosing quality over speed is important," the announcement continued. "After all, everyone knows you gotta stay sharp to make it in Chicago."
No specific release date has yet been announced, but you can look forward to playing Empire of Sin sometime in the Fall of 2020.
