Eldritch horror roguelite Lovecraft's Untold Stories will be slithering its way to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on May 10th. The game was first released for PC via Steam in January this year.

Lovecraft's Untold Stories combines action-RPG elements with roguelite gameplay. It's set in a universe inspired by the works of legendary horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. Players must explore a number of locations inspired by Lovecraft's work while fighting off eldritch horrors which threaten their very sanity. Along the way, players must gather knowledge in order to face the looming threat of the Great Old Ones. Check out the trailer for Lovecraft's Untold Stories below:

Each level in Lovecraft's Untold Stories is randomly generated. Players can choose from 5 different characters, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and skills. Players can customize characters with new weapons, items, and artifacts, which can also be improved. The characters on offer are as follows:

  • Detective - balanced playstyle, average HP and Stamina
  • Professor - ranged combat specialist, low HP, special shield
  • Witch - high damage, can teleport and use elemental shields, very low HP
  • Thief - melee specialist, uses stealth to deal damage
  • Ghoul - high melee damage, high HP, can't use medkits
These five characters each have a different story. Each story will take the characters to different locations inspired by Lovecraft's works. These locations include port cities, deep jungles, and abandoned hospitals. Lovecraft fans can also look forward to meeting five of the Great Old Ones. Special levels in Lovecraft's Untold Stories bring players face to face with Great Cthulhu, Nyarlathotep, Dagon, Shub-Niggurath, and Azathoth.

Lovecraft's Untold Stories will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on May 10th. As far as we know, none of the console versions of the game will have any extra features.
