Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Elden Magicks DLC

A few days ago, Rabbit and Bear Studios and 505 Games prompted fans to vote on the third DLC that will come from the highly-anticipated JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Today, the result has been announced.

According to an announcement made on social media, DLC "Elden Magicks" has been picked by the community, with over 10,000 fans having cast their voted for the various options that were offered in the poll.

In case you missed it, here's what we know about the DLC.

"Sample Story: Journey through the story of the origin and collapse of the once prosperous Elden Realm and discover the secrets of the rune-lenses! The collectors will not want to miss this supernatural story involving Markus, Milana, Quinn, and other mysterious characters."

Of course, the DLC will be free for those who backed the game, which was initially funded via an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign in 2020. 46,307 backers pledged over $4.5 million to see the game made, which isn't surprised considering that it's a spiritual successor of the legendary Suikoden series with Yoshitaka Murayama himself at the helm. It's now the third-highest funded gaming Kickstarter in the history of the platform following Shenmue III and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is scheduled to finally release this year or PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. In the meanwhile, fans already enjoyed a taste of the world with the action-JRPG spin-off/prequel , Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, which was widely well received.

Full disclosure: the author of this post has backed Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on Kickstarter. As a matter of fact, he literally scrambled to do so on day one, because he's a massive fan of the Suikoden series and this kind of game absolutely needs and deserves all the support it can get.
