EGX 2017 in Birmingham is the UK's biggest gaming event, featuring demos, panels, and of course, esports. Though Street Fighter V was the only fighting game present for competition, it classified as a premier event for the Capcom Pro Tour, meaning a whopping 400 CPT points is up for grabs for whoever can take first place. Depending on who takes it, the points could mean an instant qualification for Capcom Cup.

Streaming was done by Capcom Fighters on Twitch. As usual, players will be listed in “[sponsor/team name] | [player name] [[characters used]]” format. If you'd like to see entire brackets of this 176-man tournament, you can do so here, on

Problem X takes home a big W for his second event in a row after winning last week's Street Grand Battle at The Mixup 2017. For his efforts, he's given a whopping 400 CPT points, which launches his total to over 1000 and putting him in the top 10 of the leaderboards, where he joins the likes of Punk, Tokido, NuckleDu, Bonchan, Haitani, Xian, and more. His qualification for Capcom Cup is quite certainly assured. However, he's not the only one to win big. Gachikun, who came in at second, receives a generous 250 points, which bumps him all the way up to within the top 20. Here, he'll only need to do minimal work to keep his qualification status. Mago, who receives 70 points for his ninth-place finish, moves up the CPT leaderboards a few places, distancing himself from the dangerous 31st spot he was at earlier.
