While this is late coming for a variety of reasons, our EGLX coverage is going to start coming out now as we've fixed some of the technical problems. First up was an interview I had with the new Extra Life Toronto Guild.

Starting up relatively recently, they are the local chapter for the well-known Extra Life Charity in Toronto, and in particular they support Sick Kids hospital. Sick Kids is Canada's largest hospital dedicated to helping improve the lives of kids as well as researching new ways to help kids health. They partner with the University of Toronto and deal with a huge array of things all the way up to cancer. While my own visits to Sick Kids are nothing like the people in the video below, I was there when I was younger to get my liver examined, and I personally found it to be a wonderful place, well-organized, and full of kind people trying to help.

For those who don't know, Extra Life is a charity that works alongside the Children's Miracle Foundation to connect gaming and charity. How it works in general is gamers stream titles to help raise awareness and funds, with rewards being given out to the donors as well as Streamers, often with support from different gaming companies. Since its inception in 2008, it has raised more than $14 million for Children's Miracle Foundation hospitals all around the world, and last year raised over 5.4 million world wide.

While Extra Life has things going on year-round, it does focus generally on a single Extra Life day each year. The 2016 date will be November 5th and just like last year, you can expect to see TechRaptor taking part.

Take a listen to the video below where I was with the Extra Life Toronto Guild talking about Extra Life, why they got involved and some suggestions!
