Pre-orders for zombie slasher roguelike Ed-0: Zombie Uprising have now officially opened, publisher D3Publisher and developer LANCARSE have announced. If you pick up a pre-order for the game on PC or consoles, you'll get yourself access to a nice little mini-quest that should give you some extra undead-slaying fun to enjoy.
Back in March, D3Publisher and LANCARSE announced the 1.0 release date for Ed-0: Zombie Uprising, which has been in Early Access since April last year. Now, you can pre-order the game if you know you're going to be playing it on release, and if you do, you'll get the additional mini-quest "Rounding Up Thieves". I think you know what that quest entails.
You can check out a trailer for Ed-0: Zombie Uprising's 1.0 release here (we can't embed it because it's age-restricted, unfortunately). As part of the 1.0 release, you're also getting a ton of new features, including trigger functionality for the PS5's DualSense controller, a new Ukiyo-e-style Edo Filter, and new Blessings and Charms, plus lots more.
If you've missed the Ed-0: Zombie Uprising train, here's a quick catch-up. D3Publisher and LANCARSE's game is a stylish zombie roguelike that takes you dungeon-delving through legions of the undead. The game takes place in a fictional version of Edo-period Japan (although we could have told you that based on, uh, the zombies).
You'll have to keep your wits about you as you deal with random modifiers and elements ensuring that no two dungeon runs are the same. Enemy types include new interpretations of standard zombie enemies, as well as "foreign invaders born after the Zombie Industrial Revolution", according to the publishers. If the phrase "Zombie Industrial Revolution" doesn't make you want to play this game, I don't know what will.
Ed-0: Zombie Uprising launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on July 13th. The game is available right now in Early Access on PC if you want to check it out ahead of its full release.
