Biomutant was first leaked in August 2017, followed by an official announcement soon after. Later that year, THQ Nordic announced it had acquired the Biomutant developer, Experiment 101, along with their IP. The gameplay teaser came in February 2018. Now, a Canadian retail store, EB Games, has leaked that the game will also release on the Nintendo Switch. Previously it was only confirmed for a Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release. You can check the Biomutant page on the EB Games website here. While the page includes an "Expected Release" for "2020-03-30" (almost certainly a placeholder), the developer already confirmed on Twitter last year that the game would be released by Summer 2019. The pre-order price from EB Games for $59.99 is also likely a placeholder.
Another upcoming release leaked by EB Games is also a THQ Nordic title, Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition (Our Review), also coming to the Nintendo Switch. This has yet another leaking precedent, as the Nintendo Switch port of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition was also leaked earlier this year. You can check the Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition page on EB Games here. For this title, the "Expected Release" is 2019-08-30, which seems more likely in this case, though it could also be just a placeholder.
After rebranding as THQ Nordic in 2016, the juggernaut company went on to acquire and absorb several developers and IPs, such as Black Forest Games, Warhorse Studios, Timesplitters, Coffee Stain and Bugbear, Delta Force and F-22 Raptor, Experiment 101, Kingdoms of Amalur, Outcast, and even the rights to several classic Nickelodeon games. Perhaps as a consequence, they reported strong earnings for Q4 2018 and also raised $225 million to expand their portfolio, which probably includes Nintendo Switch ports for many of their flagship IPs.
