The first reveal for the Battlefield franchise was the Battlefield V Marita Map release date along with details of this brand-new map. This map puts players on the borders of Albania and Greece in a location with a heavy focus on infantry.
Set during the Battle of Greece in World War 2, Marita will see an absence of tanks and aircraft as you'll be fighting in much closer quarters than you might be used to in a Battlefield game. Thankfully, it does seem that there will at least be transport trucks and other light vehicles available to the combatants on both sides. Players will deploy on a sloping mountain ridge controlled by Axis troops. The Allies, meanwhile, will deploy within a town. The road down to the village will serve as a crucial chokepoint as both sides fight to secure the area.
Marita is a map with a heavy focus on verticality. Homes are multiple stories and the wilderness is filled with hills that will provide a lot of varying terrain and cover. As players won't have any air or armor protecting them, getting the right angles on the enemy will be incredibly important to your success on this new Battlefield V map.
The Battlefield V Marita Map release date will be sometime in July and will arrive alongside Chapter 4 as one of several new maps for players to enjoy in the coming months. You can get hyped for the new Marita Map by watching the New Marita Map Introduction Trailer below.
