At the EA press conference, Unravel Two showed off a short teaser trailer and some solo and co-op gameplay. This time around our cute little Yarny has a friend to go along with him on his adventure. After losing your spark in a shipwreck you set out on a new adventure to reclaim it, this time accompanied by a new blue yarn pal.
“Unravel Two is about the new bonds that form when we cut ties to the past,” said Martin Sahlin, Creative Director at Coldwood. “Like Unravel, it is a deeply personal game for the studio and our passion and life experiences are intertwined in the fabric of the journey players and their Yarnys will embark on. Unravel Two is about the unbreakable bond between friends and how hope and love can make the world around us a better place.”
The developers state that Unravel Two "It's quite different from the first. It's both friendlier and more challenging, but above all, it's a lot more playful." The gameplay shows off solo play and co-op play, showing that you can become one red and blue Yarny, or separate for co-op into one red and one blue Yarny. There will be some options to customize your Yarny the way you want as well. The developers showcase some of the problem solving and platforming that you'll be encountering in Unravel Two as they run from a turkey that is looking to tear you to shreds.
Unravel Two is available right now to download and play, so if you loved the first one, then there's no better time to dive into the next installment then this very second on PC (Origin store page here), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 for $19.99.
