EA has confirmed that the Sims 4 free-to-play option will begin on October 18, 2022, but will only be available for the base game. This announcement means that more gamers than ever before can take part in the fun that is Sims games.
Sims 4 took the world by storm, with millions of players worldwide taking part in the events, the mayhem, and the fun. Seeing as how the game is a life-sim, players can do whatever they so choose; get jobs, raise a family, go on dates, and more. Sims 4 really gives complete control to the players to live out their wildest dreams and fantasies in one perfectly blended game, and EA recognized that more people should have a shot at living their best e-life. In regards to this free-to-play announcement, EA went on to state,
"With The Sims 4 going free to play, our team is more dedicated than ever to developing new and meaningful The Sims 4 experiences for our players and we will continue to develop and release packs, kits and Sims Delivery Express drops into the foreseeable future. "
Those who have an EA Play and EA Play Pro membership will also receive extra rewards, such as the upgraded experience when the members-only bundles are released onto the Play List on October 18, 2022. EA states that the list will include different expansion packs, such as the "Get To Work" bundle. Those with the Pro membership will receive the same expansion as the Play members, with the addition of the "Toddler Stuff" pack.
EA also stated that there will be a special edition stream called "Behind The Sims Summit " that will go live on October 18, 2022, at 10 am PDT via Twitch and YouTube. Here, they will discuss what else they have in the works for Sims 4, and what cooky things players can expect in the near and far future.
