A new trailer has been released today for Mafia III, the third title in the Mafia franchise and the first from development team Hangar 13. TechRaptor has covered Mafia III following it's announcement last year.
Warning, the below video trailer does contain story spoilers, so stop reading if you wish to go into Mafia III unspoiled.
Mafia III follows Lincoln Clay, a bi-racial veteran of the Vietnam War who wages war against the local Italian mobs who were responsible for the deaths of his own black mob group. The core gameplay revolves around gunplay, although cover and stealth tactics allow players to complete missions in a variety of fashions. Clay will be aided by characters from previous games, including the protagonist of Mafia II, Vito Scaletta.
Mafia III is set for a worldwide release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft PC and Mac OS October 7, 2016.

I am absolutely in love with this trailer. The atmosphere is great and consistent with the previous Mafia titles, the scenes shown don't give away too much of the story - just enough to keep viewers interested. My only complaint is with the backstory of the protagonist, Lincoln Clay. His backstory of being a war veteran is similar to that of Vito Scaletta. While the wars they fought in are different - Vito served in World War 2, Lincoln in the Vietnam War - as are their motivations behind their involvement with the local gangs, the point of similarity is odd when Vito had no such similarities with the protagonist from the original Mafia title.
