After the announcement at Microsoft's E3 2015 conference of Xbox One getting backwards compatibility the current list of titles has been announced. This list of titles is currently only available to Preview Program members and it is planned that Microsoft will be adding many more titles per month and at launch plan to have over one hundred titles.

Current games include:

  • A Kingdom for Keflings
  • A World of Keflings
  • Alien Hominid HD
  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Banjo-Tooie
  • BattleBlock Theater
  • Defense Grid
  • Geometry Wars Evolved
  • Hexic HD
  • Jetpac Refuelled
  • Kameo
  • Mass Effect
  • N+
  • Perfect Dark
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • Small Arms
  • Super Meat Boy
  • Toy Soldiers
  • Toy Soldiers: Cold War
  • Viva Piñata
  • Viva Piñata: TIP
  • Zuma
If you have any of the above games digitally and are in the preview program then they should already be in your "Ready to Install" menu to the left of your games tab. If you have a physical version of this game you need to put your Xbox 360 game disc into your Xbox One disc tray that will then prompt the download to begin. If you don't see a game you like, or you have a game that you want to see become backwards compatible then you can head over to the Xbox Feedback page and request the game so that it might be available at launch.

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.
