More details have come to light regarding Avalanche's upcoming Mad Max title. Following the release of their E3 trailer, Avalanche Studios delivered more details on the game which is set to be released in September 2015. Max Max will be set in an open world called The Wasteland, where players will have to survive attacks from enemy factions while exploring the hostile environment. The combat in the game is comprised of typical combat and a physics based "vehicular combat", where players upgrade and build their "Ultimate Survival Machine" to take down enemies. The ultimate machine, called the "Magnum Opus" seems to be the primary objective in the game. Mad Max will only be single-player. Players were able to try out the game at E3. At E3, Avalanche showed off the world of Mad Max, featuring an intense desert atmosphere. The gritty remake comes right off the heels of the film Mad Max: Fury Road which was released in May, though the game story is unrelated to any of the already released films. This is not Mad Max's first video game appearance however. The franchise first appeared on the NES in 1990 under the same name. This is the first Mad Max game for the new age.
Mad Max will be released on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC and is expected to be rated M by the ESRB. The game will be released world wide the first week of September.
