The recently delayed the Order 1886 made an appearance at Sony's stage show, in the form of a quick gameplay demo.

The section started off with the player character using a lantern to make his way through a dark and dingy area. This showed off the impressive lighting tech as well as establishing a grim tone early on. Soon the player stumbled across an enemy, a sinister looking thing feeding in the dark which - after noticing the player - started to turn into a grim beast. The transformation was rather brutal and initiated a scripted shooting segment. A pistol was pulled out, giving the player character the opportunity to shoot a few times before the gun was knocked from his hand.

This was followed up by a narrow escape and a bit of a fight, showing  little of what this game has to offer - but not too much. This short segment wasn't hugely illuminating, the graphics look incredible but the gameplay on offer isn't hugely impressive yet. It looks like a standard, if atmospheric, third person shooter and what was shown was limited in scope and seemed pretty restricted. However, it gave a good indication of what the game is going for tonally. I would have liked to have seen or heard more about the game, hopefully we will get more information soon.
