If you've ever thought you wanted to bring a few weapons from Left 4 Dead 2 over to Dying Light, first that's a pretty weirdly specific thought and second I've got good news for you. Now you can.
Dying Light will be holding an event starting on October 24th and running for four days. During this event the amount of zombies in the game has increased, meaning you'll be fighting the kind of swarms you may be used to seeing in the Left 4 Dead series. However, there's some good news. The number of guns and ammo have also increased. You'll get plenty of opportunities to shoot your way through the hoard, once again not much unlike the way you could shoot through swarms of zombies in Left 4 Dead 2. Manage to complete the new challenges added in the event, and you can get blueprints for three of the "most iconic" weapons from Left 4 Dead 2: the golf club, the electric guitar, and the frying pan.
While this may be stretching the definition of iconic a bit thin, it's still neat to see these items make an appearance in Dying Light. Don't worry if you can't get around to the event. If you miss playing during the four day time period, you can download the weapons for free later, so you don't have to feel the need to rush to killing zombies.
Dying Light is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and a sequel is set to come out sometime next year. Left 4 Dead 2 is currently available on PC and Xbox 360.
Are you going to pick up Dying Light again to give the new weapons a shot? What about Left 4 Dead 2? Maybe just play both games at the same time? Let us know in the comments below!
