Two new Hellraid quests have arrived in the Dying Light Patch 1.46 Update alongside a new area, new weapon, and new enemy for the DLC.
While everyone is looking forward to Dying Light 2, Techland has continued to update the previous game in the series. A major new update arrived for the Hellraid DLC back in October and Techland announced plans for a next-gen patch; now, another new content update has arrived.
What's New in the Dying Light Patch 1.46 Update?
The first major addition in the Dying Light Patch 1.46 update is two new quests, giving you even more challenges to tackle while you're trundling around the underworld. The demon lord Ba'al has been summoned -- and it's up to you to stop his worshipers.
Also arriving as part of this update is a new are called the scriptorium. This new location also has a new demon named Sir Asmorod. Should you manage to defeat him, you'll score the new Dark Wand and gain the power of ice-cold magic.
As always, there's a little more to this patch aside from new gameplay content. Several bugfixes and changes have arrived and PC players, in particular, are getting some quality of life improvements. These new features include additional navigation markers, a new tutorial screen, and the ability to reset your progress for Hellraid's story mode via the save options; you can read about all of the changes in the full patch notes (via Reddit).
There's plenty of fun to be had in the original Dying Light, especially since Techland has been so great at supporting its legacy game. You can buy Dying Light on PC and consoles starting at $29.99 or your regional equivalent via its official website; you can also play the game for free on Steam (and buy it at a 60% discount) for the next few days. And if you're more interested in the upcoming sequel, be sure to check out the 15 minutes of new Dying Light 2 gameplay that debuted earlier this month.
