Dying Light: Bad Blood launches in Early Access later this month. Bad Blood is Techland's take on the Battle Royale genre. It pits 12 players against each other in an area with zombies and loot. The last person standing wins.
Bad Blood will be free-to-play on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One when it eventually enters 1.0. During the Early Access period, the developers promise free content updates that will introduce new maps, modes, and items. The game will transition into free-to-play as the Early Access comes to a close.
To get into the Early Access period of the game, you need to purchase the $19.99 Founder’s Pack. This pack also provides in-game currency and exclusive items, including the Founder’s Pass that will deliver 3 Legendary skins throughout the 3 months following the Early Access launch.
The game will allow players to level up by killing zombies in a MOBA-esque fashion. It also sounds like there will also be plenty of loot for players to scavenge and fight for. Dying Light: Bad Blood aims to blend of mix of PVE combat and PVP action to create an experience that feels like Dying Light. There will be an emphasis on the parkour that made Dying Light so fun and unique, too.
Executive Producer Maciej Łączny explained how the idea for Dying Light: Bad Blood came about:
“We've always been keen to add more PvP multiplayer to Dying Light. We've read all of the messages from players on social media and forums, and multiplayer has been a hot topic. We've also seen how players have embraced Be the Zombie and that inspired us to expand on multiplayer. This is how Dying Light: Bad Blood came to life, a game based on these key principles: the freedom and fast pace of parkour movement, the constant threat of the Infected, and the creative brutality of melee combat. Combined they offer an all-new brutal royale experience. Now we encourage the community to help us fine-tune the game before its release."See the game's Steam store page for more info.
