Dungeon Defenders: Going Rogue

The long-running Dungeon Defenders series has just received a new entry in Dungeon Defenders: Going Rogue. Up to four players will be able to unite in the latest ARPG tower defense in a free-for-all against hordes of enemies. It's also a roguelite, where players can unlock new weapons and runes and fight bosses as the game progresses. How many? Well, there's 200+ runes and effects and 75+ weapons, towers, and offhands to play with as well, which is a decent amount.

That's not mentioning the four heroes (Squire, Huntress, Apprentice, and Monk) that are currently available (with more on the way), and 20+ maps and 3 boss fights that can be played and beaten. Interestingly, the game will be made in cross-development with Dungeon Defenders Awakened, which means that new content made for DDA will also be coming to Dungeon Defenders: Going Rogue. There's also a bundle for owners of each game to get the game you don't own at a discounted price.

Dungeon Defenders: Going Rogue is an exciting new addition to the series, originally starting as a new game mode that blossomed into an entirely new game,” said Alec Saare, Creative Director, Chromatic Games. “We are harmonizing the beloved elements of Dungeon Defenders with the ever-changing customizability and replayability innate to the roguelite genre. Creating fun challenges for players to take on over and over again is our favorite part of working on this beloved series!”

There's also a speedrunning competition that will start from today and last until Sunday, April 3rd. There's a $10k prize pool split between the top five spots, and each entrant must livestream their single-player attempts before submitting them to the development team for verification. If this sounds right up your alley, be sure to go here.
