The Spiral Scouts, a foul-mouthed puzzle game from Cantaloupe Kids, is now available for purchase on Steam according to a tweet from one of the game's developers.
The developer of HuniePop got together with a friend and formed a new company by the name of Cantaloupe Kids expressly for the purpose of releasing The Spiral Scouts, the third commercial game developed by him and the first venture for his new company. This particular title has players taking on the role of one of the titular scouts in their quest to solve puzzles and free the founders of the scouts from their bondage.
Players work towards their goal of freeing the founders by collecting badges. These badges are earned as a reward by helping various inhabitants in the realm with their quests. Some of the game's early puzzles are simple affairs like brewing up a certain potion or fixing a malfunctioning water fountain. A number of the quests are more complex and require several stages of puzzle-solving.
Ultimately, players will have to solve a challenging "boss puzzle" of sort to free each of the founders from their chains and beat the game, although they won't have to solve all of the game's puzzles to get there. Throughout the course of the game, you'll meet a strange (and often offensive) cast of characters that are looking to have you help them with their troubles in exchange for badges.
If you like puzzle games or raunchy humor, The Spiral Scouts might be a game that interests you. You can buy it for yourself right now on Steam or on the Humble Store [Affiliate Link] for $8.99 or your regional equivalent, a 10% launch discount off of the game's MSRP.
