ECC Games and 505 are back with a brand new drifting sim. Driftce is heading to Xbox and PlayStation this spring, and it's bringing several licensed vehicles, as well as tracks painstakingly recreated with Laserscan and lots and lots of swappable and replaceable components.

If you're a racing fanatic, you've probably heard ECC's name from previous drifting game Drift21, as well as games like Car Mechanic Simulator and GearShiftDriftce is another title focused on the noble art of speeding around corners as fast as you can, and it's got real-life drifting vehicles for you to try out. Take a look at the Driftce announcement trailer below to get a feel for the game.

It might not quite have the "prestige" feel of something like Gran Turismo 7, but Driftce has 12 officially licensed cars, including the Mazda MX5, the BMW E46 M3, and the Toyota AE86. You can also look forward to several tracks returning from Drift21, as well as new tracks like Mount Haruna.

Of course, gearheads will be well catered for too. Driftce boasts 1800 replaceable components, including engines, wheels, and suspensions, so you can tweak your vehicle's performance however you like. Naturally, you can paint your cars as well, and you can add decals and customize body kits too.

Driftce will boast a range of modes; there's a career mode for serious drivers, but if you just want to have some fun with your friends, you'll also find Free Ride and Quick Race modes. Online multiplayer is fully supported, so you can test your mettle against fellow drifters wherever they may be.

You'll be able to check out Driftce on PlayStation and Xbox consoles when it launches sometime this spring. There's no word yet on a full release date, nor do we know if the game is coming to PC yet. Watch this space for more info.
