Drawn to Death will be shutting down its servers March 25, 2019, according to PlayStation store's website. This was discovered by someone on ResetEra booting up the game and being told of the game's impending shutdown.

This is no real surprise since the Jaffe's studio The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency shut down in February following a round of layoffs. Drawn to Death received a pretty poor reception, currently standing at an OpenCritic score of 55 on PlayStation 4, ranking it in the bottom 11.1% of titles that are on the site.

The arena-based shooter had a novel sketchbook art style but was bogged down by abrasive and obnoxious humor and an excessively edgy tone. It was available for PS Plus members when it launched earlier this year.

The game has seen some huge discounts in the past, but it currently sits at its $19.99 full price. Be wary, though, as you'll only have six months to play it.

This isn't the first time that Sony has pulled the plug on an under-performing online game. Gravity Rush 2's multiplayer features were shut down after 18 months, The Tomorrow Children after 12, and Kill Strain after just short of a year. It's a pretty sad trend, but these games under-performed so it's hardly surprising.

David Jaffe tweeted this farewell message regarding the game.

What do you think? Do you think Drawn to Death was better than people say, or should it just fade into obscurity? Do you think Sony is pulling the plug too soon on online features or servers? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
