Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Infinity Strash

Today Square Enix announced a release window for its upcoming action JRPG Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Infinity Strash.

According to an update on the official Japanese website, the game will launch in the fall of 2023 for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Despite the fact that the announcement has been made on the Japanese site, it clearly indicates that the release will be worldwide.

If you're unfamiliar with Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – Infinity Strash, it was originally revealed all the way back in 2020 with an initial release window of 2021. That did not happen, and Square Enix continued to provide sparse information until we heard that it would come worldwide at Tokyo Game Show 2022. Now we finally have a better idea of when.

The game is an action JRPG that promises a story mode wich follows the anime series and a “Original Dungeon: Temple of Memory" similar to a rogue-like RPG, which lets you fight increasingly powerful monsters in a procedural environment.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai debuted on Weekly Shounen Jump in 1989 as a manga written by Riku Sanjo and illustrated by Koji Inada, based on the popular JRPG series by Yuji Horii. It then received a series of theatrical films and an anime between 1991 and 1992 that cemented its popularity. More manga followed until a new and massive 100-episode anime series brought the franchise back under the spotlight between 2020 and 2022.
