As if the release of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot onto new-gen consoles wasn't enough, Bandai Namco has officially gone over 9000 with the announcement that a DLC for the action-packed fighting game will release alongside the new-gen versions.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be released on new-gen consoles, which includes the Xbox Series X|S and the Playstation 5, on January 13, 2022. For those who may not be familiar with the fighting game, it is based on the long-running Japanese animated television series, Dragon Ball Z, which was initially released in Japan in 1989. The series follows Goku, who is now an adult, and his team of best friends and mentors as they defeat the world's most powerful villains, cells, and magical creatures.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot allows you to choose from seven of the most iconic characters from the anime, and use them to traverse the world of Dragon Ball as we remember it. There are several main storyline quests to complete, side quests to follow, and a vast world to explore. More so, there are bonus storylines that can be purchased to add even more content to enjoy. The latest DLC headed to the game is titled BARDOCK - Alone Against Fate, which revolves around Goku's father also known as Bardock.

The standard game is one that answers some of the most burning questions we fans of the franchise had during the anime series, such as do we want to be candy, cookie, or pudding when Buu eats us? The DLC brings new adventures, more content, and more characters. Though there is not much information on the DLC thus far, one can only hope that it will allow us all to become the Super Saiyan we all dreamed we could be. More so, there will be no need to Kamehameha in anger, as you will not have to repurchase Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot for the new-gen consoles, as they will be free for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version owners.
