As if there haven't been enough spirit bombs thrown around in the world of Dragon Ball Z, the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC Bardock Alone Against Fate hits fans right in the heart with the largest spirit bomb yet.

Dragon Ball has always found a way to tug on your heartstrings, whether it be while playing one of the several fighting games or whether it be from watching the anime. The latest DLC coming to Kakarot follows Goku's father Bardock taking on one of the most powerful beings in the universe on his own, Frieza. From the trailer, it's easy to see that for some reason, Frieza has targeted a desolate and seemingly useless planet to take over, but as always with Frieza, there is a motive when destroying a planet.

The last of the most powerful Saiyans reside on Kanassa, as the others have departed to Planet Vegeta for "safety". One of Frieza's henchmen, Zarbon, says that a group of Saiyans had re-taken Kanassa over the last few days. Since they want to wipe out every last Saiyan once and for all, that includes the "low-life" ones that have taken over the planet of Kanassa. Bardock comes back to the planet only to see Dodoria and Zarbon have already arrived, and he and his crew begin to fight for their planet. Sadly, it ends with only Bardock making it out alive. Goku's father decides to go directly to the source, and battle head-to-head alone with the most powerful being the world has ever known, which of course is Frieza.

The DLC will be part of Season Pass 2 and come with more content, more heated battles, and more lore to follow along with. This new content is set to release on January 13, 2023, and will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
