Dragon Ball FighterZ, the latest fighting game set in the Dragon Ball universe (developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment) will be making a showing at EVO 2017 as reported by Smash. gg.

The game officially debuted at Xbox's E3 2017 show, although the word got out a bit earlier than intended - a Japanese press release was unintentionally sent out to the world just over a day before the E3 presentation where the game would make its official debut. You can get a feel for the gameplay of this upcoming title by taking a peek at one of the E3 Gameplay trailers released shortly after the show:

Four tournaments will occur at EVO 2017 on July 14th and July 15th, 2017. The first Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament of each day (Tournaments #1 and #3) are open to online sign-ups for anyone who's keen on participating. The second tournaments of each day (Tournaments #2 and #4) are limited to on-site sign ups at the Bandai Namco Booth at the event. All registrants for the tournaments will receive a free Dragon Ball FighterZ EVO 2017 t-shirt.

Each tournament will take place over the course of three hours. The first tournament of the day will run from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM, and the second tournament of the day will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

No official release date for the game has been announced for the game as of yet on the official website or anywhere else other than the fact that it's releasing sometime in 2018. EVO 2017 will likely be the first opportunity for the people of the fighting game community to get their hands on the latest game in the grand saga of Dragon Ball fighters in a public setting. Dragon Ball FighterZ will release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC sometime in 2018.
